Description: 16-pin SSOP and TSOP programming adapter. The adapter accepts 173-mil, 4.4mm wide SSOP packages with up to 14 leads. This programming adapter is wired one-to-one. It is used mostly for programming of PALs and serial EEPROMs. This adapter cannot be used for programming of serial EEPROMs with more than minimum pin count, i.e. if the EEPROM is available in 8-pin DIP, 8-lead SSOP, 8-lead TSSOP and 14-lead TSSOP, the minimum pin count is 8, hence the adapter cannot be used for programming of the 14-lead device. The adapter uses open-top ZIF test socket made by Wells-CTI.
